Border Security Force (BSF) requires 430 Head Constable (Radio Operator) against the Special Recruitment Drive for SC/ST and OBC categories in Communication Wing. Eligible and Interested candidates may apply on prescribed Application format. Both Male and Female candidates from SC/ST/OBC categories may apply. Qualification requirement and information in brief is given below —
BORDER SECURITY FORCE (BSF) REQUIRES 430 HEAD CONSTABLE (RADIO OPERATOR) AGAINST SPECIAL RECRUITMENT DRIVE FOR SC/ST AND OBC. LAST DATE: 28/02/2013.
HEAD CONSTABLE (RADIO OPERATOR): 430No. (OBC—82; SC—233; ST—115). Out of total, 10% is reserved for Ex-Serviceman.
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent with 2yrs of ITI Certificate in Radio and TV or Electronics or Intermediate
OR Higher Secondary (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics
Age Limits: between 18yrs to 28yrs in case of OBC candidates (18yrs – 30yrs in case of SC/ST) as on last date of application.
Pay scale: Rs.5200—Rs.20200 and Grade pay: Rs.2400/- per month plus other allowances.
Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test, Documentation/ PST/ PET/ Dictation Test/ Interview and Final Medical test.
Written Test will be on 24th march 2013. Qualified candidates will be called for further steps. The list of qualified candidates will be available in the official website of BSF — www.bsf.nic.in
Physical Standards of Candidates:—
For Male Candidates: Height—168cms; Chest (Unexpanded/ Expanded) – 80cms/85cms; Weight—Corresponding to Height.
For Female Candidates: Height—157cms; Height—Corresponding to Height.
Cut-off in Height and Chest measurement for the candidates of Hilly regions and ST/Adivasis is as per norms (Refer Advt., Link given below)
Medical Standards:—
Eye Sight: 6/6 and 6/9 of the both eyes without correction in minimum distant vision.
Candidates must not have knock-knees, Flat feet or squint in eyes and must not have physical defect/ deformity.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) —
For Male candidates:—
Race of 1.6 Km in 6.5 minutes
Long Jump of 11 ft in 3 chances.
High Jump of 3 and half feet in 3 chances
For Female Candidates: —
Race of 800 mtrs in 4 minutes
9 ft long jump in 3 chances.
3ft High Jump in 3 chances.
N. B: No Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for Ex-Serviceman.
Dictation Test will in English which will be of 10marks and Personal Interview of 25 marks. Finally candidates will be go Medical examination for fitness test.

Application fee: Candidates must prepare Indian Postal Order (IPO) or Crossed Bank Draft of Rs.50/- drawn in favour of the Inspector General/ DIG/ Comdt to whom the application is addressed and payable at respective SBI/Post Office.
Only OBC candidates will have to pay Application fee. SC/ST candidates are exempted from fee. Last Date of Application: Application form should reach at the respective centres on or before – 28th Feb 2013.
