Southern Railway  Recruitment Cell are invited applications for Recruitment Against Cultural Quota For The Year 2014 – 2015, as per the details given below.

Name of Post:- Cultural Quota (Non – Technical / Technician)

No. of Vacancies:- 02 (Two)

1 Post - Light Classical (Vocal) - Male / Female

1 Post - Instrumental (Key Board / Guitar) - Male / Female

Scale of Pay:-  Rs. 5200-20200/- Grade Pay : Rs. 1900/-

Qualification:- Candidates should possess Degree / Diploma / Certificate in Music from Government recognized institute.

Passed Matriculation or its equivalent with not less than 50 % marks in aggregate Minimum percentage of 50 % marks in aggregate is not applicable to SC/ST candidates and to those candidates (irrespective of community), who possess qualifications higher than matriculation such as HSC / Intermediate / Graduation / Post Graduation. Act Apprenticeship / ITI. No other qualification including Diploma in Engineering will be accepted as an alternative qualification. Act Apprenticeship / ITI Certificate must be approved by SCVT / NCVT.

Age Limit:- Between 18 years to 30 years as on 01.01.2015 (Relaxation = SC/ST - 5 years; OBC- 3)

Examination Fee (Non-Refundable):- The examination fee of 100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only) for post with grade pay of 1,900/- is payable either in the form of Demand Drafts (DD) / Indian Postal Orders (IPO), drawn in favour of "Assistant Personnel Officer / Recruitment", payable at Chennai. DDs and IPOs issued before the date of issue of this Employment Notice or after the closing date will not be accepted and the Application Form will be rejected.

Applications received with cash / Cheque / Central Recruitment Fee Stamps and Money Orders will not be accepted and will be REJECTED.

Candidates must write their name, full address at the space provided in the postal order / at the back of Demand Draft.

The examination fee is not refundable / transferable / adjustable under any circumstances. SC/ST candidates, Ex-servicemen, persons with Disabilities, Women candidates.

Minority candidates and candidates belonging to Economically Backward Classes  are exempted from payment of examination fees.
