EMPLOYMENT NOTICE FOR RECRUITMENT OF CONSTABLE UNDER SPORTS QUOTA
IN KOLKATA POLICE.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of Constable in Kolkata Police in the prescribed form: –

VACANCY :- 10 posts.
B. ELIGIBILITY :-
(i) The candidate should be meritorious sportsman subject to the provisions given below:-
Sportsman who have represented in a State or National or International level competition, Inter- University Tournaments (Conducted by The Inter-University Sports Board) and National Sports/Games for Schools (Conducted by the All India School Games Federation) in the following sports and games:-
1 Athletics including Track and Field events.
2 Badminton
3 Basket Ball
4 Cricket.
5 Football.
6 Hockey
7 Swimming.
8 Table Tennis
9 Volley Ball
10 Tennis
11 Weight lifting
12 Wrestling
13 Boxing.
14 Cycling
15 Gymnastics
16 Judo
17 Rifle Shooting.
18 Kabaddi.
19 Kho-kho
(ii) Must be a Citizen of India
(iii) Age shall not be less than 18 Yrs and more than 27 Yrs as on 01.01.2013. Upper age limit is relaxable for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Candidates by 5 (Five) Yrs and for OBC candidates by 3 (Three) Yrs.
(iv) Minimum Educational Qualification: The applicant must have passed Madhyamik Examination under W.B.B.S.E or equivalent.

Physical eligibility:–
(1) Minimum Height – 167 cms.
(2) Minimum Chest – 78 cms. with minimum expansion of 5 cms. by inhalation.
(3) Minimum Weight – 55 Kg.

SCALE OF PAY : Rs. 5400 – 25200(PB 2) + 2600 (Grade Pay ) with admissible allowances and
prospect of future promotion as per Rule.
